By | Inspiration | No Comments

Have you ever thought to yourself, “Why ME“?? I have. I want you to stop thinking why and embrace the journey. This may seem strange to some of you however its the best way to combat the emotions of fear, doubt, despair and loneliness that arise when you entertain the thoughts of Why Me! The longer you ponder on “Why ME” and not focus on the lesson, the victory, the blessing, you miss the opportunity.

The opportunity is in your mouth. You are a valuable asset once you recognize what you possess. I admonish you to take action against the circumstance, the relationship or whatever has attempted to hinder you from reaching the opportunity. From this day forward become The Advocate for your destiny. No one can tell your story like you, no one can reach those people waiting to hear from you but YOU. We all have an audience and yours is waiting.

With that being said, I want you to

  • No longer be complacent
  • dont compare your gifts and talents to others

2. Give Yourself Permission to be Free ( what it looks like to be free)

You begin to master the skills necessary to be accountable for your behaviors as well as  responsible for your destiny. You no longer allow circumstances, relationships, the environment or anything to control you emotionally but you choose to LIVE.

3. Be Confident

Understand that its part of the journey to make mistakes. Understand its part of the journey to fail but its never an option to stop the pursuit of your purpose. Balancing Ministry, Entrepreneurship and Family

By | Inspiration | 2 Comments
You may ask how do you balance ministry or entrepreneurship when you have a family, married, a single mother or whatever your situation might be. We must prioritize our time between our families and serving. The word prioritize simply means to organize, to arrange, and order your assignments. In this process we must not forget that God is the reason we live, move and have our being. It is because of him alone that we live so we must acknowledge him first in all we do, even in our marriage, before our children and careers we must put him first. I do understand that we have life circumstances that arise but when were wholeheartedly and fully attentive to God’s business our affairs will be taken care of.
How do you balance?

  • Ministry: be consistence in your fasting, praying and consecration to the lord
  • Interact with God daily (build a relationship)
  • Desire to know what he would have you to do for his Kingdom
  • Always serve ( be willing)
  • Family: Pray together consistently
  • Choose a day/night dedicated to your family ( game night, quiet dinner, movie night)
  • Make quality time for yourself
  • Communicate with your children daily and listen

Entrepreneur: Provide the fundamentals of quality service with building a solid foundation.

  • Practice Effective Communication (clear, concise, listening )
  • Be Responsive in a timely manner (manage your time)
  • Establish trust in your relationship with clients
  • Provide Quality Service

I admonish you to stay dedicated to God knowing that he is the source to what’s keeping your family together. According to his word Exodus 20:5 ” Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me”. God is talking about people, places or things that we may admire  more than him. This could be our husband, children, career, money, fame, etc. This is the reason we must keep the balance so we don’t become idolaters in the body of Christ. Let’s be wise women of God like the bible speaks of in Proverbs 14:1.

Stay clean before the lord, keep your mind renewed by the word. Apply Godly wisdom to your circumstances, pray as often and fervently and avoid striving in flesh, but trust in God to bring his good purpose to pass in your life.

Purification Before Beautification

By | Inspiration | No Comments

When we speak on being purified, were speaking on becoming cleansed, purged, and free from guilt, shame and unrighteousness. The dictionary defines the word as: to come into possession of; get; or acquire of. If we desire to become whole as women, not being incomplete, living in our pass, feeling desolate or battling in our minds, we must be purified.

Purification begins internally first in order to affirm the external appearance. We can always mask by our attire, hair styles, make up, and accessories, but what about when were alone and feel disgusted.
Beauty is confidence, beauty is intelligence, beauty is peace. Therefore,  you won’t seek approval from others about who you are, what you can accomplish in life, whether you’re a good mother, wife, entrepreneur, you’ll know this for yourself. When we go through this process were sanctifying our body, mind and spirit.
Body

  • we present our bodies a living sacrifice holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service.(Romans12:1)

Mind

  • be not conformed to this world but by the renewing of your mind. (Romans12:2)

Spirit

  • Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalms 37:4)

We must get rid of the hurt and pain that will have us held back so we may be able to move forward. Honesty is a major key to the process of purification. We must be honest with ourselves and ask God what we want to cleansed from.

  • procrastination
  • fornication
  • sexual abuse
  • profanity
  • doubt

There is no issue to small or big for God if you want  Change.

Stay clean before the lord, keep your mind renewed by the word. Apply Godly wisdom to your circumstances, pray as often and fervently and avoid striving in flesh, but trust in God to bring his good purpose to pass in your life.

Habits Made to be Broken

By | Inspiration | No Comments

Habits in our lives can be positive or negative patterns but are made to be broken or built upon.

What are Positive habits: Motivation toward you feeling better about yourself, being a success, working consistently in the goals you set in life.

Others can be you eating healthy, exercising daily, being organized, communicating with God daily and thinking positively (renewing your mind).

What are Negative habits: Something that cause pain, frustration, anger and ruin our relationships. Some bad habits are always blaming others for your problems, not submissive to authority, blasphemy and smoking.

Whether good or bad, habits become a part of who we are in life. We don’t realize the negative patterns until it becomes a problem for us. Like smoking perhaps, you never thought of quitting till you’ve started receiving complications with your health.

We must first come to realize and acknowledge our bad habits and ask ourselves “Do I want to Change”? In everything we do and say, this process starts in our mind first.

Once we have come to terms with what we must work on, you have to understand this is a process and must be handled one habit at a time. This will take discipline, motivation and support to overcome the bad pattern with the good patterns.

The bible declares we are more than conquerors, so these bad traits are just stepping stones to who we shall be in God. If we never go through nothing in life how can we testify about how to make it in life? To accomplish something if we never experienced what’s it like to be in lack, struggle with addiction or whatever habit you may have.

Starting now we break the habit of fear and declare freedom in our lives because habits are meant to be broken.

Stay clean before the lord, keep your mind renewed by the word. Apply Godly wisdom to your circumstances, pray as often and fervently and avoid striving in flesh, but trust in God to bring his good purposes to pass in your life.

Intentional Behavior

Image result for alone but not lonely

Our perceptions on loneliness is having  companionship, a social life, increased followers, but what about a rapport with God first.

There comes a time when we all need to self-reflect, gain clarity on our lives. The only way to accomplish this is to be still. Were so consumed with what’s happening around us that we tend to get loss and lose sight of our end goal. The goals we set out in 2016 are still just goals because we’ve allowed ourselves to lose sight of the vision.

God is relentless, he tells us in Psalms 23:2, 3 he will lead and guide us. If we acknowledge him in all our ways he will direct our path (Prov.3:6). It’s prevalent to me that we tend to feel as though being alone is a bad situation .It’s not always a bad decision; this can be the very pursuit to your happiness and blessings in life. Job was alone, and God took everything from him, but instead he still glorified God and was blessed tremendously. Joseph was alone after his brothers betrayed him and threw him in the pit. Joseph went on and was blessed, becoming ruler of the city and his brothers needing him. David, Leah and Tamar were all people that went through being alone, but instead didn’t succumb to their environment. When you feel lonely you should rejoice in it for greatness is to come. For when you are weak he is there for you to be your strength.

As we approach the New Year take the time to reflect on what you haven’t accomplished and begin the process of focusing on the vison, the goals: and take action! Sometimes in order to make this become your reality, you must first get rid of all the distractions and be still.

Remember this, everything starts in our minds regarding our self- esteem, confidence, self-respect, behaviors, etc. The bible says what a man thinks; so is he, so if you think you’re defeated that is what you’ll become. Instead of dwelling in your sorrow ask God what will you have me to learn from this experience? This will be the beginning to transforming your mind to every situation.

God bless. Keep your mind renewed with the word of God. Pray as often and fervently and avoid striving in flesh, but trust in God to bring his good purposes to pass in your life.
